EV Charging System and Systems for Electric Vehicle Chargers in Apartment

Understanding the Importance of EV Charging Range for Electric Vehicle in Home

Electric Vehicle (EV) charging at home is not just about plugging in and powering up; it’s about integrating a lifestyle change that offers convenience and sustainability. No two apartments or townhouse complexes are the same, and this is where Electric Vehicles Canberra (EVC) steps in with a unique approach. Instead of a “one size fits all” mindset, EVC adopts a “future-proof design” strategy. By consulting with tenants and the body corporate executive, and understanding the distinct variables of every site, we ensure that the EV charging solution is tailored to the specific needs of the residents.

With EVC, tenants can confidently transition to the EV lifestyle, knowing they have access to efficient home charging. This assurance empowers them when considering an EV purchase. Moreover, our designs eliminate any uncertainty for future charging infrastructure developments, ensuring that all new EV charging installations can seamlessly integrate into the existing system. With EVC, you’re not just getting a charger; you’re investing in a future-proof solution for an electrified future.

Strategic Rollout: Minimising Costs and Maximising Efficiency

Our approach is:

1. Survey the tenants in the body corporate to access their needs, concerns and level of interest – this provides all parties with the opportunity to engage in the development of EV infrastructure

2. Assess the site for electrical supply possibilities and limitations including incoming mains and location of metering and switchboards. At this stage isolation switches can be proposed for fire safety.

3. Provide an overview of infrastructure and charger locations. This initial design is an overview for the body corporate to consider.

4. Develop a detailed plan including infrastructure types and costs. This design can then be quoted for by EVC or handed onto other electrical contractors.

5. Identify stages at which the installation can be rolled out to minimise initial costs whilst also ensuring immediate needs are met. By having an overall plan all installation work can be done with this plan in mind.

This eliminates redundancy and removal of costly infrastructure (ie cabling running from an upper floor apartment meter to a basement car park when a managed charging system is adopted).

Strata & Body Corporate Managed EV Charging Made Easy

EVC has a wide range of charging stations available to accommodate all budgets and feature requirements. Our system seeks to provide access to a wide range of charging stations, so tenants are tied into particular brands.

EVC can also provide load management to ensure that no part of the electrical supply is overloaded. It can also provide billing management when metering from individual tenants’ meters is not viable.

By adopting EVC charge management system we will provide 24/7 monitoring on the charging stations and will know if any comms or power issues arise. We will endeavor to rectify any faults as soon as possible as well as provide stop-gap measures within a 24-hour period.
